DBT was never meant to be practiced alone.
DBT consultation and training, led by a DBT-LBC certified psychologist. A standing consultation team for individual clinicians, and DBT training for organizations building the model into their programs.
In standard DBT, the consultation team is one of the four modes of treatment.
It sits alongside individual therapy, skills group, and phone coaching. Linehan built it into the model rather than leaving it to preference, because the work is hard enough that clinicians drift, and drift is what makes DBT stop working.
If you are holding high-risk cases without a team, you are carrying something the model never asked you to carry by yourself.
DBT consultation team
A standing team for clinicians already practicing DBT. You bring the case you are stuck on, the team works it with you, and the feedback is specific enough to change what you do in session that week. It provides the consultation required for Behavioral Tech's DBT Foundational and Intensive trainings, so the hours count.

Training for organizations
For agencies and group practices. Training is built around what your team already does and where the model has to fit, so clinicians come out able to run it rather than only describe it. Scope and schedule are set with you.
